The fisherman shiny pearl – Wake up from your sleep
Shiny Pearl, Big Dreams: A Motivational Story from the Sea
The fisherman shiny pearl.
It is said that there was a hardworking and serious fisherman, he goes fishing every day and catches a big fish.
He takes it home until they finish eating it, then he returns again to the beach to catch more fish.
One day, while the fisherman’s wife was cutting up the fish that her husband caught, she found something amazing inside it.
It made her open her eyes in disbelief, as the wife found a large shiny pearl inside the fish’s belly.
The fisherman’s wife was very happy and went to her husband to tell him that their situation would change from today, they would eat things other than fish, and she told him about the pearl.
The fisherman was very happy, and went to the jeweler, and offered him the pearl saying that he wanted to sell it. The jeweler looked at it and said to him in astonishment:
What a wonderful jewel, priceless, but I cannot pay for it, even if I sold my house, my shop, and the houses of all my neighbors, I would not be able to collect its price.
The seller suggested that he go to the head of the sellers in the neighboring city, as he was the only one who could buy this precious pearl from him.
Indeed, the fisherman went to the head of the sellers and showed him the pearl. He looked at it carefully and said to him:
This pearl is priceless, I cannot buy it, but I have a solution.. Go to the governor of the city, he will be able to buy it.
The fisherman went to the door of the governor’s palace.
The governor was famous for his love of precious jewels and precious pearls. When the fisherman showed him his jewel and told him that he had found it in the belly of the fish he had caught, the governor was very impressed by the pearl.
He said that he had been looking for something like it a lot.
The governor thought about it and told the fisherman that he did not know the price of this pearl, but he would allow him to enter his private treasury for 6 full hours.
He could collect whatever he wanted from it, and that would be the price of the pearl!
The fisherman was very happy and asked the governor to make it only two hours, which would be enough, but the governor insisted on six full hours for the price of the precious pearl.
The fisherman entered the safe, and found it a very large room divided into three sections. The first section was full of jewels, gold, and money, the second section was a wonderful, comfortable bed, and the third section was a long table with all the delicious food on it.
The fisherman thought and said to himself :
Six hours is a long time, I will start first with the food in the third section, so that my energy increases and I can collect the most gold and money.
Indeed, the fisherman spent two hours eating and filling his stomach, and when he wanted to go to the first section to take the gold, he passed by the second section, looked at the comfortable bed, and thought, saying:
I ate until I was full, and now why don’t I get a little more sleep so that I have more energy to collect gems and money, because this opportunity will never be repeated.
The fisherman fell asleep and time passed. He suddenly woke up and heard a voice calling him, “Get up, you fool. The time limit has expired.”
The fisherman was startled and shouted: Huh? What? Please take me back so I can get more jewels, money and gold.
The guards said to him:
You spent six whole hours in the room, and now you have woken up from your slumber? You fool, didn’t you think to take the jewels first.
Then go and buy yourself the best food and the best and softest bedding.
You were a fool who only thought about the surroundings you were in.
The guards took him and threw him outside while he was screaming Noooo, please noooo.
Moral of the story.
Do you know what a jewel is?
It is your soul. It is a priceless treasure, but you do not feel the value of this treasure or appreciate it.
As for the treasury, it is the world that deceives you with its greatness, beauty and the many opportunities available in it, but you exploit it in the wrong way.
As for the jewels, they are good deeds, and the comfortable bed is heedlessness.
As for the beautiful food, it is desires.
And the fisherman is you..
Isn’t it time for you to wake up from your sleep and leave the comfortable bed, food and drink and collect the precious jewels that are there before the six hours are over?!
Before your life ends and you regret and leave it regretful.
